6mm x 10m coils: perfect for brickwork repairs, reinforcing and crack stitch repairs

Helical bar (also known as helibar, Helifix bars or helicoil) are most commonly used in crack stitching repairs to reinforce cracked brickwork. However, they are highly versatile and have a wide range of uses, from masonry beams and window lintel repairs to other structural masonry repair applications.

At Strucsol we provide high-grade reinforcing stitching wire manufactured in the UK from 304 CU austenitic stainless steel, unlike lower grade alternatives manufactured from ferritic stainless steel. This gives high linear strength and corrosion resistance, helping achieve consistent maximum bond strength when paired with grout or resin bonding adhesive.

Applications

• Crack stitching (in most cases of crack stitching, 1m lengths are used: see here)
• For repair of failed masonry walls
• As an anchor in stone, concrete, AAC and brickwork 
• Window lintel repair (depending on width of lintel, you may need longer lengths of wire- see our 10m coils)
• We recommend the use of Strucsol HS grout for bonding wires in lime mortar, brick or stone walls where the slower curing times assist in gaining a clean installation.
• We recommend the use of Strucsol E.A.S.F resin when immediate full bond strength is required.
