6mm x 1m Helibar for brickwork repairs, reinforcement and crack stitching

Helical bar (also known as helibar, Helifix bars or helical wire) is most commonly used in helibar crack stitching to reinforce cracked brickwork. Our 6mm bar — also referred to as a 6mm reinforcing bar — is the most popular size for standard bed joint repairs. It is also highly versatile, with a wide range of uses including masonry beaming, window lintel repairs and other cracked masonry applications.

At Strucsol we provide a high-grade 6mm reinforcing bar manufactured in the UK from 304 CU Austenitic stainless steel, unlike lower-grade alternatives made from ferritic stainless steel. This gives the bar high linear strength and corrosion resistance, helping to achieve consistent maximum bond strength when used with grout or resin bonding adhesive.

• Repair of failed masonry walls and cracked masonry
• As an anchor in stone, concrete, AAC and brickwork
• Window lintel repair (depending on the width of the lintel, you may need longer lengths of wire — see our 10m coils)
• We recommend Strucsol HS grout for bonding wires in lime mortar, brick or stone walls where slower curing times assist in achieving a clean installation.
• We recommend Strucsol E.A.S.F resin when immediate full bond strength is required.
