Timber Frame Wall Tie Installation tool

A hand support tool for holding the tie whilst driving the tie into the timber frame Simply cut the tool to length using a hack saw- ensuring the amount of tie required to achieve minimum embedment is protruding from the tool (usually 70mm). Offer the tool with tie inserted into the timber frame (ideally the tool should be resting on the horizontal surface of the brick) and hammer the tie into the frame by striking the hardened end of the installation tool with a hammer. Drive the tie into the wall until the hilt of the tool is touching the outer face of the timber frame.
