This is a kit to carry out repairs on a window lintel that is either failing or needs reinforcement after the installation of UPVC windows (usually taking the place of structurally supportive timber or metal window frames). For instructions on how this can be used, please see the attached video. 

Window Lintel Repair Kit (resin based)

The lintel repair kit contains enough material to carry out the installation of a retro fitted lintel into 3.6M window opening.

Contains:

• x2 coils 6mm x 10 metres helical bar (also known as helibars or helicoil)
• x6 Strucsol EASF Resin with nozzles
• x1 Resin Gun

What is the difference between grout and resin for window lintel repairs?

Put simply, it depends on the urgency of the repairs you're carrying out.

If the brickwork around the lintel (or lack of lintel) is not at immediate risk of collapsing, use our grout kit- it has an initial set time of 1 hour and gives you lots more time to play with and carry out the repair in a cleaner manner. 

If the brickwork around the lintel is fragile and you need immediate strength from the repair, use this resin based kit- but keep in mind that that the resin sets in 10 minutes (quicker on warmer days), so you will need to be relatively quick at carrying out the repair.
