When to use 8mm helical bar

Typically, 8mm wire is used where cracking is more excessive and where mortar bed joints are wide enough to accommodate the increased diameter bar. Note that it is much more difficult to get 8mm wire into a standard 10mm bed joint because of variable factors such as brick styles and rubble construction.
